Well-known for its fifty sailboats (motorsailers) and units dedicated to offshore cruising, the Nauticat Oy shipyard is based in Riihikoski.
The shipyard's history began with the launch of the Nauticat 33 sailboat in 1961. In 50 years of activity, the company has built more than 10 yacht models ranging from 33 to 53 feet. The total production was over 3,000 yachts. The history dates back to the late 1950s when the founders laid the first small fiberglass boats. In 1966, local sailors asked them to build a comfortable 10-meter motor sailboat with a proper wheelhouse. The Nauticat 33 was born, and the designer of this yacht was V. Aarnipalo, a Finnish engineer. The overall hull shape was not something exceptionally new; it closely resembled the sturdy Scandinavian structures often seen battling in the stormy Baltic Sea or adorned with flowers and good cheer during festivities under the midnight sun.
Our Nauticat 331 is a beautiful boat built in 2012, serving as a demonstration boat for customers, so it has only 65 engine hours. The boat is in perfect condition, and no one has slept or used the boat. Therefore, its condition is excellent. The vessel is anchored in Croatia in the port of Šukošan near Zadar.
The Nauticat 331 is a 10.4m (34'1") cruising sailboat designed by Siltala Design Office (Finland) and Wilho Aarnipalo (Finland).
It was produced by Nauticat Yachts (Finland) and Siltala Yachts (Finland) between 1999 and 2018.
The Grand Draught version offers additional performance, especially upwind, with a deeper trapezoidal keel.
